It is important to know that all kids will learn differently, visual, tactile and auditory. To compensate for the 3 types, when I teach a new play to the teams I coach, I show them the X's and O's on a coaching board telling them where each position goes. Then I get my team to run through the play continuously, followed by defending the play until they understand how to run the play. (sometimes it takes 2 practices for a team to understand a play.

Have this mindset while teaching plays or skills:
- Communicate clearly
- Demonstrate: be hands on
- Enthusiastic: have passion
- Motivate
- Correct: tell them why you do it, not just how
