Before a Basketball game your coach will run you through some generalized drills to warm you up. For some players this warm up will be enough however the higher the level you want to play at will mean warming up before the team warmup.

Dribbling Warm Up:
  • High-low dribble: Alternate between a low dribble and a waist high dribble
  • Figure 8: Have your legs shoulder width apart and alternate spinning the ball around your right leg than left leg. Continue for 3 sets of 30 seconds.
  • Around the waist: Spin the ball around your waist 3 sets of 30 seconds
  • Crossovers: crossover the Basketball low and wide in front of you and behind, then alternate front crossovers and behind the back crossover.
  • Wall dribbling: dribble a ball against the wall
  • Shoot the ball with proper form and extension up in the air (not aiming for a Basket) and catch the ball, repeat at least 30 times.
These are just a few ways you can warm up before a game, you can add more if you would like.
