The other day I was asked a question about workout plans for young children. When a child thinks of working out they think of hard work, and lets face it watching TV is much easier.

Now you don’t need to have a scheduled workout plan for a young child, lets say a 3-6 year old. Instead take them to the park and bring a basketball, football, soccer ball or Frisbee. Let your child have fun with that item with you and then let him/her play on the jungle gym. There are many different muscle groups that get worked on at the jungle gym. The monkey bars for example use upper body strength while running up a slide or ramp/stairs take lower body strength.

Just remember that a child should have fun while they’re working out.
