Basketball was invented by Dr. James Naismith who was Canadian, and yet there was not much Canadian content in the NBA until the past few years. We now have 8 Canadians in the NBA and we will have many more to come. 

Current Canadian NBA Players:

Steve Nash: 
Steve Nash is by far one of the best Canadians to ever play in the NBA. Steve Nash has 2 NBA MVP's in 16 seasons. 
Career Average: 14.5 ppg,  8.5 assists, 3 rebounds
Cory Joseph
Cory currently plays for the San Antonio Spurs and is said to be the next Steve Nash. Last season was Cory's first NBA season and will look to further improve this season, the one problem Cory has is trying to back up Tony Parker, however Cory can learn from the great Tony Parker.
Career Average: 2 ppg, 1.2 assists, 0.9 rebounds

Kris Joseph 
Kris was drafted this year by the Boston Celtics in the second round, lets hope Kris has a great NBA season. 

Samuel Dalembert 
Dalembert was not born in Canada, however he moved to Canada as a teen and has a Canadian Citizenship.
Career Average: 8 ppg, 0.5 assists, 8.2 rebounds

Joel Anthony
Joel Anthony was signed by the Miami Heat as an un drafted free agent for his defensive abilities. 
Career Average: 2.7 ppg, 0.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds

Andrew Nicholson
Andrew was drafted 19th in teh first round this year by the Orlando Magic, lets hope Andrew has a great season this year.
Robert Sacre
Robert Sacre was drafted in the second round in the NBA draft this year and looks to become Dwight Howard's back up for this year.
Tristan Thompson  

Thompson is in his 2nd year in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavs.
Career Averages: 8.2 ppg, 0.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds
